About

Malone’s Sports and Print is a commercial screen printing and embroidery business located in Tempe, Arizona. Malone’s Sports and Print, formerly known as Major T’s, was founded in 1982 by the late NFL Running Back and Arizona State University Hall of Fame star, Benny Malone, and his wife, Laura Malone. At that time, there were very few screen printers and none were black-owned. Recognizing this need, Malone’s Sports and Print served as a resource for many local and black-owned businesses and organizations. Participating in over 15 Super Bowls as a vendor, Malone’s Sports and Print was able to sponsor uniforms for youth athletic teams throughout the valley whenever requested. Through the years, Malone’s Sports and Print has built camaraderie with clients in and out of Arizona, producing shirts for many organizations and businesses around the country. This includes small business owners starting street wear clothing lines to official uniforms and merchandise/tees for schools, athletic teams, restaurants, and corporations.

In 2014, Benny Malone’s son, Michael Malone, acquired the family business and continued to work alongside his father until his passing in March 2020. Michael is carrying out his dad’s legacy by finding new ways to expand the business’ reach, which has operated for 30+ years from word of mouth and building personal connections directly with the community. When not working at the shop, Michael enjoys spending time with his family.
